DINNER TIME

     It was only a matter of time before the sharks were able to feast. Mike McCaffrey and his partner Brandon Hansen had consistently been at the top of the two-man best ball tournament for the past few years. They were like predators, constantly on the prowl, waiting for their next meal. However, despite their skill, there were times when their prey managed to escape, leaving them with only half-filled bellies. But this time the sharks were relentlessly circling the greens, effortlessly sinking every putt with precision. In perfect harmony, these apex predators had one objective: to devour everything in their path, including the ocean's biggest and baddest fish, 2018 champions Jose Sanchez and Jesus Poilio. Not even the tandem pair from Prairie View A&M, Ernest Stanley, and his protege Shanequa Valentines, were safe from their ferocious appetite. Mike and Brandon's impressive 9-under performance on the back nine was a brutal assault, leaving even the most skilled competitors bleeding out on the course. There were a plethora of players who found themselves caught up in the feeding frenzy of the sharks. These players, who were all tied for 4th place at an impressive nine under par, seemed to have a chance to win on any other Sunday. However, this was not just any Sunday, and the competition was fierce. The four other groups, consisting of Gabe Ramos and Jaime Villarreal, Ethan Bulthouse and Chris Allen, Alvin Lee and Louis Sweatt, and Casey Grimme and Brandon Alexander, were all vying for the top spot. Despite their best efforts, they were unable to escape the barrage of attacks. But there was nothing to be ashamed of, as these players had all displayed exceptional skill and determination throughout the tournament. As the saying goes, "Some days chicken, some days feathers," and on this particular day, the sharks were the ones who came out on top. Congratulations to Mike and Brandon for their impressive performance and for eating everything on their plate.
