BAY FOREST IS BURNING

You can call it soft greens, ball in hand, or even global warming but what I know without a doubt is the Houston Golf League torched Bay Forest. Seventy-five percent of the field was even par or better.  In the past five years, the league has an average score of 72.3.  We incinerated Bay Forest in comparison to last week's performance at Longwood with a field average score of 77.1 which was a full 5 shots advantage. The League's average in 2020 is 78.2.  The summation of these numbers is tough to digest so if you want to compete at Bay Forest next year, you better bring your "A-game ".  The first responder, Todd Ruiz, shot a personal league-low 68 gross with a net score of 63. This is Todd's first year in the league and he has a second and third-place finish. but this is his first official win as a member of the league. With this win, it puts him in a position to overtake Rodney Griggs as the number one rank player. Todd is 9 points away from overtaking Rodney with a win at Players Championship he could do exactly that.  Another player who was throwing flames around at Bay Forest was Jonathan Cole and Arron Rodgers Coles 65 and Rodgers 67 respectively finishing second and third. Congratulation Todd on breaking through with your first win.
