While watching a special on HBO the other night about Kareem Abdul-Jabbar who many consider one of the greatest basketball players. During his career as a center, Abdul-Jabbar had a six-time record as the NBA's Most Valuable Player, a record 19-time NBA All-Star, a 15-time All-NBA selection, and an 11-time NBA All-Defensive Team member. Twice Abdul-Jabbar was voted NBA Finals MVP. He was named to the league's 35th, 50th, and 75th-anniversary teams. His "sky-hook" shot was unstoppable. Sometimes the great players have a pivotable moment when things aren't going their way professionally. In 1985 everyone thought Kareem was "over the hill" and needed to retire. The worst game in his playoff career was game one in the finals against the Boston Celtics. He had a total of six points and a blowout loss. HGL, also, has one of the greatest players. His name is Roland Turner. His nickname is the "Captain." Roland's aka the "Captain" worst tournament in his career was last week at Pasadena. I didn't say he needed to retire but I was damn sure thinking it. The old grumpy man has been dragging himself around the courses without a win since July 29th, 2018 that 1342 days of ineptitude. Both of these men had to look themself in the eye and asked themself has this game cough up with me or do I have something else to give. Well, Kream answered that question by avg 30 points in the next 4 games and NBA champions and another MVP finials trophy to his luxurious career. Roland also answer the bell with a great performance by completely dominating the field, He was the only player under par winning by 8 shoots pretty much lapping the field. Sam Garcia finished 2nd, newcomer Haja Rabe finished 3rd with three other players tied for fourth place, Joe Hart, Mitch Moses, and Brayden Hendley. But this belonged to Captain Roland Turner won was able to roll back the hands of time to show everyone the Old Grumpy Man still has game. Congratulations, Captain Turner.
